This year the main Sydney Animania event was held on the 17th and 18th of September. It was my first time volunteering for Animania and being a part of staff so I was a bit nervous but everything went well. Apple-pai was an awesome manager this year and has a knack for backdrops/settings while I don’t, so I hope that I can come up with satisfactory ideas and run everything smoothly when I become manager next year “ORZ

This year’s theme for the ABJD section was “Fairytale: Beyond the Woods…”. We chose this to make it broad as possible so it would be easier for owners to submit entries based on this theme into the competitions and for them to bring their doll dressed (if they wished).

We had 3 tables to decorate and they all led onto one another. The first table was a forest/wood which lead onto the second table – the gingerbread house and lastly the third table represented the garden of the gingerbread house. The backdrops were mainly painted by the manager since I didn’t have much time to stay behind to paint.
