I’m finally finished with semester 1 and I’m going on a short trip down to Melbourne for a few days!  puuu I’m super excited because I’ve never been there before, but I’ve heard so many good things about shopping and eating there. I’ll be flying later today, so I thought I’ll make a quick post, catching up on older photos I should have posted before. I usually draft blog entries, but don’t end up posting a few of them because other things happen :buuu

So a few weeks ago I went to check out the Vivid Sydney, which is a festival showcasing various lights sculptures and building projections around Circular Quay and The Rocks. I think they also have music performances, but I didn’t get to watch any. Also I didn’t get to check out everything because I only had time to visit it once and since my friends and I went during the opening weekend, there were so many people, so my friends and I decided to go and eat dinner after a while lol.

Since this display was my favourite, I took a few videos and photos and complied them onto youtube  :raburabu I simply loved the colours used and the way the colours transitioned.

This is another display that I liked because of all the bright and bold colours :bow2

 And here are a few other photos. I’m sorry I don’t have much to comment on this post, but if you’re in Sydney in June, I highly recommend you check out this festival :glee2

  1. You need to take me to this wonderful light show someday! D:
    Which makes me wonder, why doesn’t Melbourne get these festivals sob!

    • Definitely! It’s on every year, so if you have time next year, you should come to Sydney when it’s on. I think it lasts around 2 weeks.

      I’m sure Melbourne has different type of festivals which are just as awesome X)

  2. Ooohh it really looks beautiful! Wish I could be there too! ; A ;

    I do hope you’ll have fun in Melbourne! :) Let us know more about your trip once you’re back ! > w <

  3. Ooooh, that festival looks awesome! Definitely something I would be interest in haha :)

  4. Ugh I wish there was something like that around here. Those displays look so beautiful. Thanks for sharing this… now I have something to google for the next few hours haha.

  5. That light display is really pretty! I like the big colourful cube thing the best.
    Like the typical New Zealander I’ve only been to the Gold Coast on holiday.
    Enjoy Melbourne though, I’ve heard the same things about the shopping.
